Seattle Blogs
I did a search via bloglines and found quite a few Seattle-related blogs. Considering the size of our metropolis and its status as a technology capitol, I was suprised to find so few. I’ll be searching other blog directories later!
- Moreover.com - offers a Seattle Top Stories news feed. This could get overwhelming as it is refreshed every 15 minutes. I’m curious to see how much of it is repeated if I subscribe to major local news sites as well.
- Seattle P-I- offers RSS feeds…this one to Arts & Entertainment news.
- Seattlest - a group blog about happenings and places in Seattle, part of the Gothamist network.
- Seattle Book Events - a frequently updated list of readings in Seattle, a great find for you bookophiles out there.
- Seattle-tagged Flickr Photos - an interesting way to explore Seattle vicariously. I’ve added it to my RSS reader (Bloglines for now) so I don’t miss cool places to check out. There are a lot of sometimes really great photos of the usual suspects - the EMP, Central Library, Pike Place Market, Space Needle swimming amongst a lot of random photos of people and events that only those attending would probably find interesting.
- Seattle & Music - is, you guessed it, a blog posting music happenings all over Seattle.*
- Seattle Mariners Daily Entries - is a busy, busy blog. If you’re a fan, you’ll love this!
- Mariner Musings is, you guessed it, a fan site but it would appear from the post dates that it’s not updated too often.
- A Sack of Seattle - Seattle-based venture capitalist blogs about a myriad of topics, peppered with some Seattle-specific stuff like phalic pasta at Rialto. Gross!
- Seattle’s Community Journal - frequently updated bulletin board, most entries are similar to what one would find on Craigslist - housesitter available, tonight at the Paradox, etc. contributed by a host of people.*
- Mistress Matisse - a “sex-positive professional dominatrix and writer” who has column in the ubiquitous local weekly, The Stranger.
*Personal digression: Livejournal/gravatar fest - ew! Subscribe to the feed!
